Royal Caribbean's brand new Allure of the Seas received a "hero's welcome" upon arriving at her new home at Port Everglades in Ft Lauderdale, FL. It was a quite a journey from the shipyard in Turku, Finland, which included doing the limbo under the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark concluding with the trans-Atlantic crossing. Allure made good time and was able to spend a day making preparations while circling the Bahamas. Allure of the Seas was met by thousands of well-wishers, helicopters and the media. Upon docking at Terminal 18, Allure is now getting her plants installed and making final preparations for her pre-inaugural cruises tht begin on another week.
